Board of Trustees: President

  • Lead the Board in a professional manner ensuring the integrity of its conduct and confidentiality as it relates to homeowner members.

  • Have oversight of and manage the Board members as necessary to ensure the fulfillment of their responsibilities.

  • Act as a liaison between the Treasurer and homeowners.

  • Schedule and conduct board meetings as necessary.

  • Organize and conduct the annual meeting of the association.

  • Organize, announce and conduct special meetings of the association, i.e. for approval of expenditures in excess of $5,000.

  • Enforce the BGMHA by-laws requiring payment of homeowner assessments including collection and the placement of property liens via the association attorney.

  • Compile information and produce association newsletter as necessary and its mailing.

  • Create and produce annual pool passes for lamination and distribution.

  • Lead board in team projects including annual statement mailing, pool pass creation, and inspection of association facilities.

  • Carry out and/or assign projects for completion by board members arising out of inspection of facilities.

  • Propose candidates for open positions for the Board’s interview and election.

  • Exercise authority to remove Board members when necessary.

  • Act as a backup for the Treasurer.

  • Ensure the bylaws of the association are followed by the board and proposed for association vote.

  • The position of President should be filled by a current Board member familiar with the operation of the Association and the Board to ensure consistency in its operation.
