Pool Rules
It is the responsibility of everyone who enters the pool area to acquaint themselves with the rules pertaining to the use of the pool. If someone does not know pool rules, it will not excuse their accountability for violations. See Pool Rules.
Season Hours
Operating hours are subject to change.
The pool is open daily from 12 noon to 8 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.
Starting August 19th, the pool will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 12 noon 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The lifeguard and/or pool managers possess the authority to close the pool area at any time, as a result of a contamination event, equipment failure, and/or chemical-related imbalance until it is remediated.
Pool Passes
Passes are required to be presented to the lifeguard every day.
Only those who are up-to-date or current with their assessments (including late fees) will be issued pool passes.
Everyone who enters the pool area is required to sign in every day including guests of homeowners who must also pay $1 per day to use the pool.
Weather and Temperature
If the outdoor temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit, the pool will remain closed.
Everyone must leave the pool area in the event of an emergency (including weather situations such as thunder and lightning storms). The emergency signal is three (3) blasts from the lifeguard's whistle.
The pool will remain closed until 30 minutes after the last sighting of lightning or the sound of thunder.
What If I Want To Have a Pool Party?
To request use of the pool for a party, please print and complete the pool party form, then contact the Pool Manager, to see if the pool is available during your desired time/date. Please be aware of Berea’s Noise Control Laws. You may need to consider requesting a variance from the City if music is provided at your event. Blue Grass Homeowners Association will not assume responsibility for activities on our common grounds that violate the City of Berea laws or other ordinances/codes. Other loud behavior must also be curtailed in accordance with the City’s ordinance.
Who Can Use The Pool Unattended By a Lifeguard?
Any residential homeowner who is current with their assessment (including late fees) who wishes to access the pool outside lifeguard hours must complete and sign a waiver and an emergency contact form to obtain a key from the pool manager, Jeff Pais. By signing the waiver, you agree to bring only children under your legal guardianship and no more than one (1) adult guest with you into the pool area. Homeowners must remain at the pool with their children and/or adult guest.
All pool rules remain in place outside lifeguard hours. Violation of rules may require homeowners to surrender their keys, reimburse the association for costs associated with the replacement of keys to the pool area, and possibly lose complete access to the pool for the season.
Tenants are not permitted in the pool outside lifeguard hours.
Food and Beverage in the Pool Area
Absolutely no glass is allowed in the pool area.
No food or drink is allowed in the pool even if it is in an enclosed container.
Non-visible consumption of alcoholic beverages is allowed in the pool enclosure.
Please exercise discretion and avoid the display of larger, commercial brand packaging whenever possible.
Any visibly intoxicated individual will be asked to leave the pool area. Failure to do so will result in the notification of the Berea Police.
Do not jeopardize the safety of others by pulling the lifeguards' attention away from their primary responsibility.
